Have You Signed Up for ChatGPT yet?

Seismic Transitions

The way we work, where we work, our job titles, our tools and how we work, have been changing rapidly.?
Naysayers and dooms-dayers have a lot to say about it. But the rate of change will not slow down. The change agents are enormous and rapidly disruptive.?
The pandemic, DEI, WFH, curbside and delivery options, TikTok, Digital Health advances, and AI - specifically?ChatGPT.?

Disruption of a massive proportion?

ChatGPT threw the world into a tsunami of love/hate in November. If you have been ignoring it (you can't), here is a brief tutorial on how it is being used.?
I have clever, creative friends. One of them works with?SendOutCards.?She asked ChatGPT to write a poem for a 6 year old boy with cancer. I cried when I read it.?
When I signed up for it in November, I was thinking, "Oh, it's like Wikipedia. A great place to start for general into." I used it to do research for a couple of things and then went on about my business.?
What has happened since then is mind-blowing.?
The uses of the chatbot expand daily. There is no more written about topic right now than CHatGPT. It's everywhere.?
It has taken the?Finance?world by storm. Click the link for a Forbes article. "In this kind of environment, the key decision for customers to make will be which bot they want to provide financial health, not which bank."
The Jetson's meme below is funny, not funny. The photo above is more accurate.?

ChatGPT 'learns' as you use it

Remember the old term GIGO? Garbage In, Garbage Out. It's like that.?
You need to 'feed' it great instructions to get great results. It responds to you, your voice, your topics and preferences... and even then you get red herrings once in awhile.?
Here is the ChatGPT definition of "red herring."?
"A "red herring" is a false or misleading clue or piece of information that is intentionally or unintentionally introduced to divert attention away from the real issue or argument. It is a tactic often used in debates, discussions, or investigations to confuse or mislead others."
Your results may vary.

So, Who's using it How??

Attorneys?- Case summaries, a basic will, research?
Realtors?- marketing copy, real estate listings, social media content, emails, build educational topics for the team
Teachers?- Research, summarizing, outlining, re-writing curricula
Marketing Professionals?- Press Releases, proposals, video scripts, brand guides, SEO
Programmers?- ChatGPT can write and debug code, generate tech manuals and software explanations

We are only beginning to discover what can be done with CHatGPT. Here are some other uses I've discovered -?

  1. Get Ideas for AI Art, Decoration, Party Themes. For example, ask ChatGPT to suggest party ideas for a birthday party for a 29 year old female professional in New York. Hilarious. and really good. (It only rankled a little that one suggestion was an 80's or 90's themed party)
  2. Use ChatGPT to Write Music, chords and all
  3. Translate documents and websites
  4. Extract Data from Text
  5. Grade Essays with feedback on how the grade was determined and suggestions for improvements
  6. Solve Maths Questions
  7. You can even use it as a Linux terminal
  8. There are several Chrome extensions based on ChatGPT. I have downloaded 2 of them and am experimenting. One will read a LinkedIn post and generate a relevant response and add the person to a prospecting list. More to come in a future newsletter!

There are many concerns and hesitations. Plagiarism, spreading misinformation, raising a generation that cannot write for themselves... and, from a DEI point of view, can ChatGPT help to eliminate bias? hate? etc.?
More questions than answers. Endless possibilities.?
How will you lighten you workload with ChatGPT??

It seems like ChatGPT has become so hot that there is a waitlist to use it. I have never seen an information site that reaches full capacity after launching just a few months ago.
