Have You Sharpened Your Saw Recently?

One of my favorite comedians was Richard Jeni. For a frame of reference he was Jim Carrey’s sidekick in the movie The Mask. Jeni had a great line in the movie when he said most people have a problem due to searching for the BBD… Bigger Better Deal. This is more accurate today than when the movie was filmed in 1994.

I have written more than 150 articles for LinkedIn and this has provided a lot of exposure for me and my services. I write these articles as a service to the community and I am not looking to expand my client base by doing this. Others see my articles and for some reason they want to form an immediate relationship with me and then pitch their program to me. Many begin by telling me how wonderful it is to connect and attach a link to their calendar for a 30 minute get acquainted call. If I accepted these invitation’s I’d have precious little time to actually service a client!

What amuses me is how many of these invitations comes from “Certified High Ticket Closers” who have attained this distinction by their mid-20’s! I also wonder who certified them… I have yet to find that answer. In my personal library I have several books from well known “High Ticket Closers.” See if you recognize any of their names. Dan Kennedy, Zig Ziglar, Mary Kay Ash, Dusan Djukich, Michael McLean, David Sandler, Martin Howey and Joel Bauer. The information available in these books and from this group has resulted in billions of dollars in sales. I’m not sure how much more anyone could be looking for! ?

Invest in a book to further your education. Do this sooner as opposed to later. Invest in ink and paper. Highlight and dog ear the pages and become friends with the idea of sharpening your saw. I will even send you what I consider to be a great book and pay for shipping and handling. Just ask!
