Have you said it recently?

Rushing back to life ?

The pandemic changed so many things . It pressed pause on our previous way of life , it stopped our old patterns of behaviour, what we did when we did it and who we were in contact with . So before we press start, lets take a moment to reflect, so that we don’t just jump back into what was before.  That we take some time to decide if what we did before/ when we did it and with who we did it fills us will energy or if you/me are already starting to resent the commitment.

Time is irreplaceable you never get it back. So do what fills you with joy and feel good hormones. Make a conscious decision that you wont just rush around looking after others, that you will commit to prioritising your own wellbeing both physical and mental. 

Your energy is precious too. If we feel depleted strung out not only do we feel lousey we also start to have physical changes to our body and brain which makes it harder to sleep , we gain tummy weight, we suffer from anxiety brain fog brain churn, our body starts to send warning aches and pains to slow us down. However if we ignore these signals especially peri and post menopausal women we will end up in burn out.  

Therefore Before we rush back into life before , take a moment to decide what fill you with joy recharges your batteries makes you smile and feel energised . and consciously decide to write those in your diary as a priority regular appointment doing that for the next 6 months. And barring the end of the world being announced, that you commit to keeping that time for you, come hail or sunshine.


We cant help others if we don’t help ourselves and create time for ourselves by NOT doing some things for some people.  Your wellbeing is a priority. And most importantly “No” is a complete sentence.
