Have You Noticed This One Yet? NEW PO Combo Deal from Epicor
I always like scrolling through the latest summary features of each new version (I know, get a life, right?) to see what interesting tidbits catch my eye.?
During the latest upgrade to 2023.2.11 last weekend I noticed something that’s kind of useful.? The new Kinetic form has combined PO Suggestions and Change PO Suggestions into a single pane of glass.? Not an earth shattering addition but it does eliminate remembering to go into each module to check on changes.?
User Hint:? Clicking on the hyperlink column in each one (Date column in PO Suggestions and Type column in Change PO Suggestions) opens the Detail screen for each row.
Of course, I’m assuming you’re using these 2 Purchasing tools.? If you’re not, then I highly recommend you start using them because they are extremely important.? PO Suggestions tells you what to buy and when while Change PO Suggestions notifies you of recommended changes for existing POs.? Staying on top of these 2 modules is essential for inventory management and job scheduling. ?
Users often put off using them because there’s a lot of “noise” in there when you first start working through the list.? Quantities that don’t make sense, dates that seem incorrect, lead times that are impossible... All are most likely possible if you’re not properly maintaining your data.? Using the PO Suggestion tools is a great way to identify and fix these issues.? It can be a daunting task but it’s definitely worth the effort.
Feel free to reach out if you have questions about any of the Epicor Purchasing tools or could use some help deciphering the “noise.”

11 个月Thank you for noticing the great work that our developers are doing. We had discussions about how to make this very important application even better. Glad you like it. We also made the Buyer Workbench enhanced with this same feature. Oh, and looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the amazing changes to Time Phased Inquiry coming in 2024.1
