Have you heard the mantra about....?

The answer is probably "yes". There now seems to be a mantra about everything...or rather 100's of mantras about the same thing. They are mainly about motivation. Linkedin has certainly generated 1000's of motivational mantras for me to read. And one of the top comments after many mantras is the terribly uninformative comment "so true"...come on, that's a bit lazy!. Many motivational mantras seem to have various arrangements of the words: negative; positive; turn into; fall; get up; obstacle; overcome; rejection; more; determined; stronger; belief; better; every day; problem; opportunity; reach; nearer; goal.
Yes, I am all for effective encouragement, especially from those who care about you, but I feel I am now "mantra'd out"! Here's another one..."use every failure to generate a success". I made that awful one up. Here's a better one..."stop depending on mantras, depend on yourself". Please do not comment "so true" to this post!.
This has nothing to do with the lovely picture above. It's an original that I bought for £3 in a charity shop thinking it might be worth a decent sum. Turns out the frame is the only thing of value.
