Have you found your Porpoise?

Welcome to Take the Lead Edition 15 - Find your Porpoise & Passion

Come and take a swim with me and let's discover how close you are to living a life full of purpose and passion.

We're joined this week by 4760 people, who all know being curious about conversations that count in business makes them unique to me.?I'm going to start calling this 'Find & Speak'.

Please share this with all the lovely people in your network you feel will be inspired and take action for themselves. By making a start we are all winning.

Oprah Winfrey says it best: 'Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.;

Having a purpose is what gets us out of bed every day just like when the sun rises in the east (it does, doesn't it? I am known to get confused).

That purpose is a little like the Simon Sinek 's 'Start with Why?'

Now, I'm going to share my opinion and I want you to hear me out. Because I have wrangled with this for a very long time.

At first, my why was my family. Then it narrowed to the experiences of our family.

But that's not your why.

In business, it's not my clients.

It's also not my connections.

Nor is it the guests on my podcast.

Shall I tell you what it is?

Okay, here goes. It's ME.

Simple as that.

That elusive why is all about you. And me.

The alchemy comes from putting it all together. The human connection.

That's my why.

Finding and speaking to intelligent people who are open, honest and relatable to share their own experiences in the service of others.

That's my why.

Finding and speaking to decision makers that have to alleviate a pain to achieve a gain in their business.

That's my why.

Finding and speaking to business owners who need to find and speak to other people in business to start meaningful conversations to grow their business.

That's my why.

It's a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together,

This is who I am.

Who are you?

Genuinely, I would like to know.

I like to get to know people, it's not what or who I know but what I know about you that can truly help me to understand who else I know and put you together.

It's much the same when I approach the telephone training. Putting who you are at the forefront of the conversation and how you would want to Take the Lead.

There's a lot to be said for living the life you are meant to with purpose and passion.

It's where quotes like "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” by Confucius must have sprung from, don't you think?

You can quit you're job, but you can't quit your calling

Is this why I reflected last week on what I wanted to be when I was 7 years old? The inner guide clearly wanting to break free and show the way.

It's interesting isn't it?

These things can tip you out of balance and turn your world into a life less than ordinary when overwhelm creeps in.

We need to be able to identify where these feelings are arising from and set about returning to a sound equilibrium.

Which is why I asked Nicola Buckley to join me in this week's business conversation. We share a background in telecoms and she has gone onto follow what sets her fire alight in leadership coaching with women.

The pace of life will become overbearing if it's not from your hearts desire.

Before you listen, let me tell you briefly what you'll learn:

Nicola’s catchphrase (and its impact on Wendy)

Nicola’s advice for taking positive steps

Moving forward from Covid as individuals

How leadership can be like a coat???????

Nicola’s conversation that counted

"...how do we create time and space for you, given your life. Given your family. Given the role that you have. How do we create time and space for yourself?"

Our conversation made me do some serious thinking and I hope you gain some insights too. You can tune in [following this link ] to choose the player of your choice. Be sure to Follow the show and you'll be notified when Neal, the producer, and I do a little bonus content every Sunday when we Carry on the Conversation.

I'm at the British Podcast Awards today and tomorrow with my good pal, Jenny Procter as I needed a wing woman to steady me.

That Bullseye category will be announced tomorrow and be sure to check in again as i'm sure to be gushing either way all about the experience.

Huge thanks to the many, many messages I have received following you voting for the show in the Listeners Choice category. You have filled me up to busting!

THANKS A BUNCH FOR READING, SHARING, LISTENING AND SUPPORTING!

Remember, you never know where a conversation will lead...it's up to you to take the lead.

Stay Curious, Find & Speak Soon,

WendyWoo
