Have you Fed your Mind???

Have you Fed your Mind???

July Edition__SILI #002??

Dear Teammate,

Greetings to you! Am thrilled to play the game of Scrabble with you again??

I hope you're in high spirits and ready to embark on this new month filled with positivity and growth. Last month, we explored the power of determination and how it can lead us to our desired destination. This month, I want to delve into another important word that has greatly impacted my personal journey: DIET

Yes, you read that right. I'm referring to diet beyond the realm of physical food. While we commonly associate diet with what we eat, there's another aspect of it that often goes unnoticed—the diet we feed our minds. Just as we nourish our bodies, we can also nourish our minds. It's crucial to choose a balanced diet for our minds to thrive.

This topic reminds me of a statement someone close to me used to say when I was growing up. Whenever I did something wrong or tried to defend myself, she would sternly remark in my local dialect, "shame should cover your face." Unbeknownst to me, I absorbed those words and they resurfaced whenever I attempted to take bold steps in life.

Hmmm, it wasn't easy, but eventually, I came to understand the significance of what Jesus said: "Man shall not live by bread alone." In other words, there is another kind of food—God's word. So, I started seeking out what God's word said about me and shame. I took practical steps to incorporate it into my life:

- I read and studied those words

- I prayed and asked for them to manifest in my life

- I confessed and declared them daily (which is highly important)

Perhaps for you, it's the negative thoughts you've harbored about yourself (self-induced). Well, I want you to know that you are not exempt from this journey. As it says in Proverbs,

"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."

Instead of dwelling on negative thoughts, replace them with God's word for your life, just as I did and continue to do.

Just as you don't eat physical food only once a week or a year, our minds need regular nourishment. It's an ongoing process. In times like these, when external pressures and challenges abound, it's crucial to feed our minds with the right DIET to avoid becoming casualties.

Mind DIET = God's Word

This formula has been tested and proven. It's trustworthy, and I encourage you all to subscribe to it.

Now, let's spell out the word DIET together, letter by letter, and embrace its transformative power in our lives:

D - Dedication: Be dedicated to feeding your mind with the right thoughts and beliefs.

I - Intentionality: Approach your mind's diet with intentionality, purposefully choosing what you allow into your thoughts.

E - Eliminate: Eliminate negative influences and thoughts that hinder your growth and well-being.

T - Transform: Let your mind be transformed by the renewing power of God's word.

As we journey this new month, let's commit to living out these principles and having an awesome July filled with the right mind DIET. Remember, it's not just about spelling the word; it's about living it!

Wishing you a month of growth, positivity, and abundant blessings.
