Have you ever wondered what goes into a Christmas Cosmetics Shoot?

Since joining the Loud Llama team almost a month ago, I have been working closely with our client, Trigwell Cosmetics - which I couldn’t be happier about. It's been so rewarding to assist with and produce social media content for an audience I can really relate to.?

Prep Prep Prep -

One thing I have learnt whilst planning our last-minute Christmas and New Year shoot, which took place last Wednesday, is to be as over-prepared as possible. I started by preparing extensive mood boards, before putting together a comprehensive shot and prop list, to ensure we had a solid plan to execute on shoot day. I had no prior experience in performing any of these tasks, but I am now one-hundred times more confident in myself, thanks to the trust the team at Loud Llama had in me to take the lead on the preparation. This has truly highlighted the power of a smaller, boutique agency to me, by allowing me to gain such valuable experience at such an early stage in my career, an experience which would likely not be replicated in the bigger firms.?

Shoot Day -

The shoot started at 8am, whereby I was busy from the outset, coordinating the models, assisting the photographer with her set up and running through our shot list with her, as well as recording exciting behind the scenes content to be posted on the Loud Llama and Trigwell accounts. I thoroughly enjoyed my day assisting the photographer with creative direction and styling - I didn’t even notice I had been on my feet for seven hours!

It was also so inspiring to meet so many young females, including Zoe (Trigwell’s founder), the models and our photographer who were all so passionate about what they do and are each grafting for their goals in their own individual ways. I’m still in shock that Shannon (the photographer) is only 20 years old and is running her own self-taught photography business as well as training to be a primary school teacher!?

The shoot was a huge success, and it was so fulfilling seeing my creative visions come to life. Following on from the shoot, I received such lovely praise from Zoe, which really was the cherry on the cake! ????

To think only a few months ago I felt trapped in an office job I hated - now I get to come to work and do this, honestly I still can't believe it!
