Welcome to my Freedom Career Hub, wherein you read articles related to career, career growth, employment, personal development, etc.

In this article, I am going to discuss an interesting but highly effective word that has its own effect on everyone’s life.?

The conflict occurs anywhere; why is it happening?

What is conflict, how is it happening, and why is it happening? How do I resolve it? There are many such questions that arise from people who think about them.?

1.??? What is conflict and its understanding?

Conflict is a disagreement or clash between opposing ideas, interests, or forces. It can occur in various contexts, including personal relationships, individuals, groups, workplaces, communities, and nations or ideas. Conflicts often arise when individuals or groups perceive a threat to their needs, interests, or values. These disagreements can be due to differing opinions, a lack of communication, power struggles, or competition for resources. Understanding the root cause of conflict is essential for addressing it effectively.

It started happening the day Adam was sent to the earth. So it keeps happening, and we should look at how to minimize and feel the heart's comfort to stay connected.

It can arise from a variety of sources, including differences in values, beliefs, goals, or resources. Conflict is a natural part of human interaction, but it can also be destructive if not managed effectively. The world is seeing it. Its resolution and nonresolution are happening due to human attitudes. It could be an error that is openly known, sometimes inevitable, and, most of the time, politically motivated as well.?

What you feel is sometimes right.

What you say is sometimes right.

What you discuss and conclude may also sometimes be right.

But what is best should be thoroughly felt and reviewed. Let’s see it while concluding it. The below quote is a learning experience for everyone; it can start at home as well.

Gandhi once declared that it was his wife who unwittingly taught him the effectiveness of nonviolence. Who better than women should know that battles can be won without resorting to physical strength?

-?????? Barbara Deming

Effective learning comes from history and day-to-day life. Peaceful coexistence has plenty of benefits and surplus growth if humans are determined to walk with everyone, talk with everyone, and work with everyone. Then peace prevails, and a conflict-free work style will dominate the minds of everyone.?

2.??? Causes of conflict

Conflicts occur for numerous reasons, and it can’t be one reason. It has multiple reasons. Sometimes one cause could be attributed to multiple ways of seeing the conflict, like a glass but being scared to touch it. Because you have a feel for its delicacy and brittle nature.

Let’s talk about various means and ways it could arise:

- Miscommunication,?

- Differing in values,?

- Personality clashes,

- Competition for limited sources,?

- Money,

- Materialistic intentions,

- Power,

- Sex, etc.

The above intentions and motivations are invisible but evident; they could hurt and halt the flow. The conflict occurrences could be read for various reasons in scriptures and puranas. The three main causes, as per Puranas, are land, gold, and sex. However, it is now interpreted in classical terms, as mentioned above.?

Misunderstandings or a lack of information can lead to assumptions and negative perceptions. When two minds unite, then peace prevails. If it happens in the opposite way, then disputes, quarrels, and fights will roll out. It is always better to clear up such misunderstandings at the initial stage and not prolong them for a longer time. The barrier should be smashed by deflating the ego and settling amicably.

Conflict can escalate when parties involved become defensive, blame each other, or resort to aggression.?

Cultural differences and varying belief systems can also create friction. It depends on how the other side accepts it. Mutual dialogue could pave the way for fraternity. If not, it becomes fragile. However, it is better to leave it to others for acceptance, and if not, keep it aside.?

Additionally, power imbalances and perceived injustices can fuel disputes, leading to escalated tensions. Recognizing these causes helps in identifying strategies for resolution.

3.??? Types of Conflict

Conflicts can be categorized into several types:

  • Interpersonal,
  • Intrapersonal,
  • Organizational, and?
  • Interpersonal conflicts occur between individuals, often due to personality differences or communication issues.

Intrapersonal conflicts involve internal struggles within an individual, such as moral dilemmas or conflicting desires.

Organizational conflicts arise within a workplace or institution, typically due to power dynamics or differing goals.

International conflicts involve disputes between nations, often over territory, resources, or political ideologies.

The various types of conflicts provide an insight into invisible realities for everyone. However, the same histories are getting repeated again. The mistakes of the past generation are repeated, but in different ways and means. So, the deep-rooted causes need to be understood and eradicated in order to make situations balanced and conflict-free.?

4.??? Consequences of Conflict

Unresolved conflict can have significant negative impacts, including stress, decreased productivity, and damaged relationships. In severe cases, it can lead to violence, mental health issues, and societal instability. However, not all conflict is destructive; when managed constructively, it can lead to growth, improved understanding, and innovation. The key is to address conflicts promptly and effectively to minimize harm and maximize potential benefits.

Conflict can stem from various factors, including unmet needs, incompatible goals, unequal power dynamics, or scarce resources. Personal biases, prejudices, and emotional reactions can also contribute to the development and escalation of conflict.

Status, power, and sexual desires have a high influence on conflict between parties. The fight is: who is great and powerful? The loss of lives and resources is part of it, but it has lesser significance in their eyes.

Everyone is here, Are you one of them?

The root cause of ego needs to be researched and studied deeply. The meaningful way is

LET BYGONES BE BYGONES.”

The meaning from dictionary of Cambridge is

"I used to tell someone that they should forget about?unpleasant ?things that?happened in the past, and especially to forgive and forget something bad that someone had done to them."

Just?let ?bygones be bygones and be?friends ?again.

Why can't you?let ?bygones be bygones and put it all behind you?

The above questions are striking. A good mind can be alert to such happenings in advance. This implies purely human behavior is true, as per my experiences with experienced people and people who wish to attain wisdom in their thoughts.?

If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.

-?????? Nelson Mandela

To forgive someone for something done or for a disagreement and to forget about it.

The consequences are many; let everyone think positively and make the world free from conflicts.?

5.??? Resolving Conflict

Resolving conflict involves several steps:

  • Identifying the underlying issues,
  • Facilitating open communication and
  • Finding mutually acceptable solutions.

Techniques such as negotiation, mediation, and collaborative problem-solving can be effective.

It's crucial to create an environment of respect and understanding where all parties feel heard and valued. Building empathy, focusing on common goals, and developing conflict resolution skills can transform disputes into opportunities for growth and cooperation.

Conflict resolution involves finding a peaceful and mutually agreeable solution to a disagreement. Effective conflict resolution requires openness and fairness in exchanging information in a mutually agreeable way. Active listening, which is the bedrock of effective conflict management, is highly valuable, and in addition, empathy and a willingness to compromise would be effective ingredients to solve the challenges faced. Moreover, it is essential to identify the underlying causes of the conflict and address the needs and interests of all parties involved.?

Conflict Management Strategies:

Conflict management involves preventing, reducing, or resolving conflict through various strategies. These may include fair and open negotiation, mutual mediation, arbitration, or collaboration. Building strong relationships, developing effective communication skills, and practicing empathy can also help to prevent and manage conflict.?

By understanding the nature of conflict, its causes, and effective resolution strategies, individuals and groups can enhance their ability to navigate disagreements and build positive relationships.

The conflict could happen in a country, state, territory, district, village, group, between two people, at home, etc.

When it happens in a country, state, territory, village, or group, it could happen due to various political reasons. It could have been running generation after generation, a few hundred years ago, a thousand years ago, etc.?

Then it could take years to find a solution or may be prolonging for known and unknown reasons. The leaders who are in control could be living or may be passing away or handing over to someone else, etc. However, it becomes a known fact that the world is moving. People, the press, or groups could talk about it from time to time.

This kind of conflict occurrence is unsolved. The end may not be visible.

Let’s look at solving conflict occurrences. This could be between

A group

Between persons,

Between customers and companies

Between two parties

Company to company

Competition to competition

If it happens, then it is remarkable to see the silver lining. The world is facing challenges through conflicts of interest, and everyone should pledge for peace and tranquillity.

The political consequences may not be under the control of anyone. However, conflicts happening in personal life, in offices, in organizations, in business, in discussions, etc. could be possible to control.

“The quality of our lives depends not on whether or not we have conflicts, but on how we respond to them.”

?A conflict-free work style is a need of the hour. How does it work for everyone? is a question to be asked by every individual and try to reset in a happy way.

There are three truths: my truth, your truth, and the truth.

?- Chinese Proverb

It is the task of everyone to address personal, business, or official challenges in an amicable way. It gives a peace of mind and a feeling of mindfulness.

Let everyone remember the adage as

“Live and let live.”.
