Fun Random Fact:
Have you ever listened to an audiobook? We all have from time to time. Well did you know that Ed Kemper- best known to the world as the Co-ed serial killer has recorded over 5000 hours of audiobooks? Chances are you have listened to a serial killer reading you a book.
The program, known as Volunteers of Vacaville or the Blind Project has inmates record thousands of books; best sellers, textbooks, mysteries, science fiction, Westerns, children's books and cookbooks onto tape cassettes.and now cd’s.
Between 1977 and 1987, Kemper had spent over 5,000 hours in the recording booth, had more than four million feet of tape and several hundred books to his credit.
Some of the titles he has recorded are Flowers in the Attic, The Glass Key, Merlin's Mirror, Petals on the Wind, The Rosary Murders, Sphinx, and Star Wars.
