If not, then it is time you did. You can save planet Earth.
Before we begin, have you ever heard of Cutting Tea or Cutting Chai? It is a popular term in Mumbai. Cutting tea is so called because of its strong flavour... but that's not it.
What is more important is that it is served by the half-glass. Or in a small glass.
Recently I visited a restaurant. Before pouring drinking water into my glass, the waiter asked "how about Cutting Water?".
I looked at him a bit confused but gave him an affirmative nod.
Then i realised as he filled the glass less than half with water.
I was suddenly reminded of the term Cutting Tea.
I think it makes a lot of sense not to fill the glass till the brim. More than 90% of people take 2 to 3 sips of water and the rest of the water is thrown into the sink.
Even when we go for a meeting or during shoots, we are given small mineral water bottles. We take a sip and keep the bottle back mindlessly.
Then our bottle gets mixed with other half consumed mineral bottles and we reach out to open a new bottle.
We waste so much water.
Cutting Water is important. We should pour as much as we want to drink.
