I've dealt with skin issues for as long as I can remember—random bouts of hives, psoriasis, adult acne, and extreme reactions to insect bites. Thankfully, my skin has calmed down in recent years, and I no longer suffer from itchy or painful skin. The key? Working on my health from the inside out.
And that's exactly what I want to share with you in my upcoming workshop, Nutrition Essentials for Itchy Skin, this Wednesday at 8 pm. In this free session, I’ll reveal the key nutrients for skin health that can keep your skin healthy and itch-free. You can learn more about the workshop here .
Let me share a story with you.
Years ago, I was on a much-needed holiday after pushing myself too hard at work, unknowingly struggling with chronic fatigue syndrome. Initially, everything seemed perfect—until I started noticing strange spots on my skin. At first, I thought nothing of the black specks on the hotel linen. But the next day, I discovered a rash on my back and legs. It turns out I had been bitten by bedbugs.
While the hotel was quick to apologise and refunded our stay, the damage had been done. My skin flared up, I couldn’t sleep, and the itchiness was unbearable for the rest of the trip. Interestingly, my husband had also been bitten, but his skin didn’t react as mine did.

This extreme reaction was a sign of deeper health issues—issues I didn't fully understand at the time. It turns out that such reactions can indicate underlying problems with immune health or nutrient deficiencies. In my case, I was deficient in several key vitamins, including B12, due to gut issues and a vegetarian diet.
Though the itchiness subsided once I returned home, it continued to flare up for months, which was embarrassing, especially at work. But this experience became a turning point for me. It was a clear sign that my health was out of sync, motivating me to take positive steps that have led to the healthier skin I have today.
The true insight I gained—and what I want to share with you—is that my extreme reaction wasn’t just about the bedbugs. It was a reflection of my overall health. By working on my gut health, identifying food sensitivities, and supporting my immune system, I’ve reached a point where I hardly even react to insect bites anymore.
If you’re experiencing skin issues and want to get ahead of them, join me this Wednesday at 8 pm UK time for my free workshop, Nutrition Essentials for Itchy Skin. There will also be a Q&A session where you can ask me any questions you have about nutrition and skin health.
I look forward to seeing you there!
