I thought I would share what I consider the 21 most powerful coaching questions that can help clients gain clarity, insight, and motivation:
- What is it that you really want?
- What is the biggest challenge you are facing right now?
- What do you think is holding you back from achieving your goals?
- What would success look like for you in this situation?
- What are your core values and how are they reflected in your life?
- What are you most proud of achieving in your life so far?
- What strengths do you possess that will help you achieve your goals?
- What areas do you need to develop to reach your full potential?
- What are your top priorities in life right now?
- What actions can you take to move closer to your goals?
- What kind of support do you need to achieve your goals?
- What are the consequences of not taking action?
- What are some potential obstacles that may arise, and how can you overcome them?
- What is one small step you can take today to make progress towards your goal?
- What is your definition of success?
- What is your vision for your life in the next 5-10 years?
- What are the benefits of achieving your goals?
- What have you learned from past failures and how can you use that knowledge to succeed?
- What are your unique talents and how can you leverage them to achieve success?
- What motivates you to take action and stay committed?
- What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
You can of course adapt and personalized these questions to suit the needs of the individual client, and can be used to help clients gain clarity, develop a plan of action, and achieve their goals.
