I recently wrote a LinkedIn post that asked if people were aware of their genius. Not what they were good at, or what they did in their business, but? their?specialist talent that was the thing they did, in life if not business that they absolutely loved to do. The one thing that made?time stand still, filled their soul and lifted their heart.
We all have that 'thing'. That is why I call it a genius, we feel it is a normal everyday kind of thing, but others look on in admiration as you create something beautiful with your genius.
That is not to say it hasn't taken hours/days/years to perfect, but it came from a place of a natural love, an affinity that has been nurtured.?
Maybe you bake extraordinary cakes, or have a gift of hospitality, maybe you connect with others so easily, or see numbers with ease and clarity.?
I was surprised by the responses on the LinkedIn post that many people hadn't quite identified their genius. I was saddened by the fact that they had not truly accessed it yet, and not felt the joy that it can bring.
If you are aware of your genius but haven't worked out how to utilise it every day, take heart, it doesn't mean you don't have one, it?will be there if you keep searching.?
I recently went to see my friend Lottie Walker perform in her one woman show Chopped Liver and Unions?at the Brighton Fringe Festival. For many years her genius was hidden as she worked in a very successful finance recruitment company. She was very good at her job - but she was not working in her genius.
Since she left and started her own production company I have seen her blossom and next week she if off to perform in New York - Broadway is calling (well just off Broadway, but getting closer) She is loving every minute of it AND is TOTALLY in her GENIUS.

Howard Berg demonstrated some incredible techniques that will help each of us to read between 20 and 30% faster than we currently do - and how to measure that increase.
Imagine if you read all those pesky policy docs you have to get through and save yourself hours by getting through them faster??
AND how to remember the content too. It was an eye opener for sure!?I would hate for you to miss out.?

Craig is known in our community as the Finance Guy, he is always helping us to Know Our Numbers! That is what he 'does' and he does it very, very well,?but the person he is being is much, much bigger than that.
In the relatively short time we have had the pleasure of knowing him he has??proven his mantra of 'I just like helping people' again and again. Such a lovely man, who packs so much into his life (Taekwondo, learning Greek AND writing a book or three) yet he still finds time to be an active member of our community and volunteering to support in others.?All in all, a great Collaborator!
