Many people have spent the past few months stuck inside their homes. They’re working from home, schooling their kids at home, and entertaining themselves at home. All of your meals happen at home, and all of your social time takes place through your various devices.
You might feel like you have gotten pretty familiar with every inch of your house by now.
You might even be a little sick of looking at the same walls, furniture, and interior decor.
Many people have thought about how they can upgrade their interior design in order to renovate rooms where they now spend all of their time. Obviously, they are shopping online for desks, desk chairs, and other home office accessories. But there’s also been an uptick in browsing for things like paint colors, bedding, wall art, and other ways to quickly freshen up a space.
You might have had similar thoughts about potential home improvement projects.
But have you thought about how you could actually take advantage of the space itself?
Warehouzz allows property owners (like you) to rent out the square footage they’re not using to others who are seeking temporary local storage solutions. This might be especially appealing if you are looking to make some extra cash during the pandemic.
For example: If you consolidate some of your belongings, you could transform a guest bedroom (that isn’t exactly hosting a lot of visitors these days) into a usable storage space for renters. The great thing about a bedroom is that it already comes with climate control (your home’s central heat and air conditioning), unlike many traditional storage rental blocks.
But it doesn’t need to be a full bedroom, and it doesn’t need to have climate control. With Warehouzz, a space only needs to be 200 square feet to get started. You might have a suitable crawl space or garden shed that is secure and can hold someone else’s property for a while.
This person might need a local storage space as they transition a new business into the area. They might also be leaving town, but unable to move everything at once, so they will need to leave part of their belongings behind until they can get settled and come back and for the rest.
No matter what the situation is, your property might be a big help to the other individual. And they will only be able to find you if you list your available spaces on Warehouzz.
But it starts with you. Look around and consider which spaces on your properties might be useful for someone else to store their belongings. Consider what price you think would be fair for them to use it, as well as how long you will have it available. All of these details will be important when you create your profile on Warehouzz.
Instead of looking around your home and thinking about how a new ottoman or window shades might make a boring room look a little more exciting, consider how it might be appealing, empty, to people who are making their own big life changes right now and will need to store their boxes, furniture, bicycles, office cabinets, or other transitory items in order to enter the next chapter of their journeys.
You can help. And you can make a little profit at the same time. So, look around your home and think about how it can be working for you, so you can work less from home.
Consider how your everyday surroundings can be earning income with Warehouzz.
