While shopping around in preparation for the COVID-19 lockdown, I realized that as a parent, we get a glimpse of God as our Father and Provider. A baby isn’t worried about receiving or being taken care of, and as the parent, we don’t expect them to be. You gladly provide and feel responsible for your baby. When your baby cries out, you feed them, change them, and comfort them. You want nothing but the best for them and willing to do whatever it takes to make them happy. Their smile warms your heart. You see their full potential and want nothing but the best for them. Although you know the world will eventually get to them, you desire to protect them from everything. This is how God feels about us. We’re His baby. When we cry out to Him, He will feed us, change us, and comfort us. He protects us and always provides.
Understanding the significance and risk associated with the Coronavirus, I pray for your safety and well-being, that God covers you and protects you.
During this time, remember His word and use this time of isolation to get present to your life and reconnect to dreams, goals, people, and plans that you may have lost sight of.
As stated in:
- James 1:2-4 (NLT) “when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So, let it grow.”
- Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
- Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
I hope this week is a blessing, and when fear shows up, you combat it with the word, as no weapon formed against you shall prosper!
With love,
Kneisha
