Here's my humble story:
After my fourth baby, I was at 225 pounds. I am 5 ft 10 in.
I got busy and released 65 pounds to get down to what my doctor recommended.
Then I gained back 30 pounds.
In 2017 I released those 30 pounds and have kept it off since.
The key in my humble opinion is finding the program that will help you release the unwanted pounds and also to realize that this is a LIFESTYLE DECISION FOR THE REST OR YOUR LIFE!
We cannot just work hard to release the weight and then once we achieve that goal, go back to our old bad habits.
Remember that if you want to live a comfortable old age free of arthritis and other ailments, staying slim is key. For every pound of body weight you carry, you put 10 pounds of pressure on your knees. If you are 30 pounds overweight, you are applying 300 pounds of extra pressure on your knees!
If you are carrying 100 extra pounds...
That's 1000 pounds of pressure!!!
Did you know this?
I learned about the "extra 10 pounds of pressure per pound of body weight on the knees" when I was working with the Arthritis Society as a trained speaker in the Self Managemet Program.
So...
Where are you in this lifestyle scale?
Are you wanting to just lose weight...
Or...
Are you wanting to RELEASE weight for good and keep it off?
It's a psychological thing...
Your terminology, that is.
When we say we lost weight, we are subconsciously telling our mind that we want to find that weight again!
UGH!!!
When we say we released the weight, we have thus rid ourselves of those extra unwanted pounds forever...
But not so fast!
Hold your horses here!
Just releasing the weight still isn't quite enough.
You see, I can attest to the use of the terminology and how that affects your releasing weight for good.
But...
You still need a plan to keep it off.
So I use a free app, MyNetDiary!
It tracks carbs, fats, proteins and helps you set up a weight maintenance plan.
You enter everything you eat and all your exercise and what you drink into this app and it tracks everything for you.
It also hones in on a new found secret to maintaining the weight release...
Journaling!
How you feel every day and where you are at takes less than 5 minutes a day.
I haven't missed a day entering my data since I started in 2017.
This app lets me splurge once-in-a-while.
So...
I might have a small piece of pie on occasion.
But...

Then there is the odd day when I have felt so hungy that I cannot stop eating and it becomes a major splurge day...
That is very seldom.
I have been able to maintain my weight release with the use of this app...
And...
The use of one other tool.
Yup!
I take a serving of Greens every morning first thing now.
When I went to visit my daughter, whom I had not seen for a year...
(It's that YOUKNOWWHAT thing that kept us apart)...
Last month...
She mentioned that she thought I looked more slim than ever.
Well, the secret to that is that my weight is the same...
I look slimmer because I work out 5 times a week.
You have to do what feels right for you.
And you need to exert some self-discipline...
Sometimes in large commodities!
It has taken me a lifetime of trial and error.
One thing I have learned is that I found out what the secret is for me.
What will your secret be?
Humbly speaking, it helps to release and maintain the results when we use the best quality nutrition available.
By the way...
I am 73.5 years old and have been diagnosed with advanced Arthritis in my knees.
I was told in 2006 that I needed knee replacement sugery.
But I noticed that all my girlfriends, who had knee replacement surgery or hip replacement surgery...
Were 6 axhandles wide and could hardly waddle to the end of their driveway!
So I decided to find a way to heal my own body...
So far, so good!
Today I walk without a limp and you would never know to look at me that I am battleing advanced Arthritis.
Cheering your success!
