Have we lost our Mojo in the corporate world!
When I started my career, I was brimming with ambition, ideas and drive to bring a #change in the way things happen at work and making a difference. However very soon, the ideas that used to excite me and keep me motivated were seen as distractions that interfered with my ability to implement and fulfill my corporate deliverables.
As you get a taste of success, you get tempted for more of it and when others around you notice that, you are expected to behave in a certain fashion and more importantly, should be seen performing in a manner that’s accepted within the corporate world fraternity, often termed as an approved code of conduct.
As you navigate the corporate world from one assignment to another and from one company to another, the things that become more important for you are #power, #money, and #success. They present themselves and take over in such a way that you don’t even realize when and how strongly they overpower you. The things which were seen as rewards for your quality performance and loyalty soon become the reason for your existence and repress you as an individual.
The fear of losing what you have and the desire to get what you want are two constructs on which the world of corporate slavery thrives.
But it is never too late to start doing what you want to do?
So, Get back your MOJO .. May be the Austin Power way….
