Have Some Fun Today

Another "Messmer-izing Moment"?
Have you spoken with someone recently who complained, “I just don’t have any fun anymore?” Maybe, you’re one of those folks yourself? Well, if you haven’t laughed a little already today, you’re missing a whole new world out there.
"Laughter is a great medicine for what ails you,” as Andy Taylor or Aunt Bea of Mayberry might say. A good chuckle will take the sting out of an otherwise less than average day. Part of filling your life with laughter has to do with surrounding yourself with positive energies and positive vibes. Learn to identify the toxic people in your life and steer clear of them.
Try scheduling some time for yourself as part of your daily planner or on your mobile device. Just as you record the meetings and appointments, also take the time to plan a walk at lunch. One of the Zen secrets of the late Steve Jobs was to chose a walk as a place for a peaceful exchange of knowledge, with one’s self, or with another human being. Jobs claimed that his best and often most productive meetings took place while walking.
Take the time to make time to arrange a meeting with your spouse or partner at a special place, or a favorite spot. Or, maybe plan a long weekend together… just because you appreciate each other.
Fun and laughter are the candles on our birthday cake of life. They are the spark that starts our engine each day. So, have a banana split for breakfast, them walk it off with a peaceful stroll through the park at lunchtime.
When you make an effort to put a little fun in your life, everything else will get just a little bit better. I promise.
