There are troubling warnings in leadership development that have emerged in our socially networked world. I'm interested in your thoughts on my article in the Globe and Mail. https://bit.ly/birchgroveinc

7 年Reading your provocative article produced in me two distinct reactions: First, its insights into the Twittification of leadership development and the dangers it poses caused me to sit bolt-upright in my chair with both admiration for your work and concern for the trend's ramifications. Second, and quickly thereafter, I slunk back, deep down in that chair after recognizing that my own social media activity is contributing to the trend. If I promise to dig deeper, I hope you won't mind if I share your thoughts, recommendations and "dig deeper challenge" throughout my own LinkedIn network?

7 年I read your piece the whole way through. So, I read lots. To help with leadership, I read novels. They get me out of my head, help me stay creative and energized. I read lots of business books too, but mostly just so I can keep up with what everyone else is reading. (Sometimes they turn out to be pretty useful too.) Great piece.
