If you are going through a bad time for mistakes and bad decisions you've made, the only immediate option you have, is to accept the consequences of your actions. But there is hope, bigger than your current situation. If you have a sincere and heartfelt repentance and the need to ask God for forgiveness, do it. You probably also have to ask forgiveness to someone, do it too. Your heavenly Father will always forgive you, when you sincerely repent and He will give you a new opportunity. You can not avoid the consequences, but the burden on your heart will disappear and when you least expect it, God will open for you a new opportunity to start over. God is love: Actions have consequences, but repentance brings forgiveness and new life.
I was reading about this, in the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32, where Jesus shows the wonderful love of God, represented by the father of the young son, who sinned squandering his fortune in wild living and sin, until he ended completely ruined. However, seeing himself defeated by his own mistakes, he repented and decided to return to his father, to ask his forgiveness and to let him return home. His father received him with love and compassion. Of course, the entire property now belonged the elder brother and that was the consequence of his actions, he had to accept, but he was forgiven by his father, who received him with love and gave him a new opportunity in life. This parable shows how is the love of our heavenly Father, who is always going to forgive and receive us, when with sincere and heartfelt repentance, we ask his forgiveness. We must accept with responsibility the consequences of our decisions and actions, but God will give us a new opportunity to start over, and we must act the same way, when our neighbor sins against us.

9 年Francisco, you offer here yet another great example of God's love for all His creation. As you know The Bible is filled with documented historical truth and proof that offers His children a means to know Him better, and enables us to live the best life possible. If Heaven were populated with just good deeds from an otherwise flawed human existence, without accepting the most perfect to walk among us, then Heaven would NOT be Heaven under The ONE and Only Almighty God. It's clear that you walk in Christ's footsteps, and I hope more than just the choir reads your posts. The world has corrupted itself and the more people understand the problem, the better chance they will see the only solution through Jesus Christ, who gave His all, for all of us.
