I had a speaking client who wanted to improve his filler word usage. Want to know how he did it? Check out this video to find out.
If you're talking to an audience whose expertise doesn't match yours, use more commonly used words in your presentation; skip the jargon. It'll force you to know your material so well that you can explain it simply, and it'll make it easier for your audience to understand your presentation.
Remember to have empathy. You weren't always the expert you are now. Guess what? Your audience is in the exact position you were in when you weren't the expert. If you didn't know all the jargon then, they likely don't know the jargon now.
All for now. Until next time!
