Have a cuppa planet

Have a cuppa planet

This week, I started recommending Google's ImageFX to my undergrad classes at 新加坡南洋理工大学 as a tool for visualising creative concepts. ImageFX is free and makes really pretty images. However, nothing beats Midjourney for sheer weirdness. For this week's cover image, I asked Midjourney to create a planet-sized coffee cup in space, but I got this planet in a coffee cup instead. Even better!

The Agency of You: Grow your marketing skills by writing good emails

Mindfulness rocks. I believe every small thing that you do mindfully will help you improve in exponential ways. One of them is taking care in writing emails. Many people treat emails as a chore or afterthought, but a well-written email is a powerful vehicle that delivers not just your intention, but builds your reputation and personal brand. If you want to communicate and persuade effectively, you can start with your next email. In this chapter, I also introduce Gen AI prompts to help sharpen your emails. Read the latest chapter of my upcoming book "The Agency of You", as well as earlier chapters for free.

My latest LinkedIn posts

A profound speech on "Self Renewal" by John W. Gardner. Every adult should read this. Am very thankful to Tim Ferriss for sharing this. I've re-read it thrice in the past two days and spammed my friends with it on WhatsApp, it's that good.

Duolingo released their company handbook, and I decided to share this excellent guide to being world class with my students.

How to generate non-cringey AI images. First rule - don't use ChatGPT for imaging.

If I were a frog and wore a pink wig, I would look like this. Instead of ChatGPT, use Google's ImageFX for vibrant and beautiful images.

Bruh, nice video but I'm not sure if I want to pay for Adobe's Firefly. It used to be free for Adobe CC subscribers, but it now costs extra (S$14 to S$40, ugh.) Firefly also allows you to create 3D scenes and then apply Gen AI to create your final visual.

Claude AI, a great LLM for writing and coding, appears to have been quietly upgraded by Anthropic.

OK, that's all folks!
