Have Courage to Stand Tall

Have Courage to Be Above it All

Face me when you are through

And tell me and them all what to do

Make me smile

One that will last a while

Show me the way to laugh

And then become my staff

Be more than you thought before

Be worth more forevermore

Be what I taught

Do it before you feel caught

Live right

Hold your head and tongue just tight

Listen more to the quiet

And do that and keep it in sight

Even day and even night

Hold your head up high and do it right

Giggle

And then wiggle

Pull up your britches

Stop long boarding and getting stitches

There is more to earth than you

One day God will show you that too

I hope the news is not one day too late

So please listen now and stop when you hesitate

Or it will be a day too late

To get over what you feel as hate

Seeing well

Living to tell

Smelling it too

It may become true

Hearing it may not be enough for you

But if you listen you can hear it too

Then one day you will not be blue

You may find you have courage too

What a blessing it would be too

If only it were enough it could definitely do

The things you thought you could not do

Then you may find your goals there too

This was written from me to you

May my love be enough to see you through

Until then I pray it does for you

What is needed and keeps thing right and true

May you smile and never be blue

May you laugh and know what to do
