Have a break, snap out of it!

Have a break, snap out of it!

Every Monday I write the Weekly Newsletter.

Time limit is 35 minutes from start to finish.

I review my weekly notes, ‘useful stuff’ emails, conversations and meetings from the past week. ?

What I’m looking for is something that I can take away, inbed in my life and share with you. And this weeks newsletter is a bit different

What did you do over Easter?

?Good Friday

  • Checked out my new office. I move in on May 1st
  • Drove to a park with my wife for some Forest Bathing – wow worth every moment.
  • Walked 2kms (not far you say – it is for my wife on 60% lung capacity)

?Saturday

  • Walked to work (6km) and rode my e-scooter home.
  • Brunch with cousin.
  • Fell asleep at the movies in the evening. Kept the 100% record of falling asleep at every Harry Potter movie I’ve been to!

?Easter Sunday

  • Easter hunt traditional completed.
  • Ventured into Melbourne for lunch.
  • Watched 2 Comedy Festival shows (we only decided on Friday to do this.)

?Easter Monday

  • We took our nephews for sushi and Bad Guy Movie.
  • First time I’ve taken kids to the movies – hmmm probably more popcorn left on the chair then actually eaten.

Not once did I worry about work. I had a couple of client calls. They were needed. It’s this type flexibility that differentiates me.

?Tuesday morning

  • I feel refreshed after switching off
  • A sense of creativity after being pulled away from my typical routine
  • An energy for innovation reminding me why I do what I do
  • Confirmation I can reward myself and it doesn’t have to cost $$$$$
  • Increased desire to just do it

?

What did I take from the Easter Break?

Success and self-worth should be defined in the same way as job and business. Not only does this apply to your physical body, but also to understanding when to recharge and relax instead of pushing too hard in all areas of your life.

How was your Easter? Did you snap out of it and have a break?

(thanks Kit Kat)

Before you go....

Can you help me please? I have a bold goal for this newsletter to reach 10,000 people on LinkedIn. Not to boost my ego. I simply want to support a community of ordinary people to achieve extraordinary meaningful outcomes every day.

Lastly if you (or you know someone) who is looking for an inspiring, relatable keynote speaker for events in 2022-2024 - please let me know.

Make everyday count

I love the tag line. I'm glad you had a break and were able to "snap out of it".
