They have been led to the Slaughter
They have been led to the slaughter
This phrase recently was heard in the Ukrainian Parliament “Rada” by ex member of the RADA. The Ukraine people start to realize what the government has prepared for them.
These days the famous historian Timothy Snyder at17th annual Yalta European Strategy (YES)
compared Zelensky with Pericles from ancient Greece.?
To my opinion inappropriate comparison because Pericles contribute a lot to the cultural development of Athens and its architecture, the Pantheon, that made Athens educational and cultural center of the ancient Greece, famous in the whole world.?
Poor comparison with the men who is trying to destroy one of the biggest architectural achievements the Crimea bridge, Kerch bridge, connecting the peninsula with the main land, and with his epic efforts destroyed other infrastructural targets like the electrical connection to the Zaporiznia power plant and also a water supply to the city of Kiev, which could lead to the next tragic 90 winter days for the Ukraine, which Zelensky describes at the same summit “Yes”: “The 90 days ahead will be more crucial than 30 years of Ukraine's independence. These 90 days will be more crucial than all the years of the existence of the European Union. Winter will determine our future and the risks," Zelensky said.

In an attempt to praise Zelensky, Thimoty Snyder also sited quotes from the famous oracle from Pericles, where he praises his soldiers who are ready to die for freedom.
I am not very well with history myself but checked on the comparison from Mr. Snyder.
The sad truth about all this is that Pericles made this speech at the funeral of his soldiers “Funeral oration by Pericles”, who first died in the Peloponnesian war, which began through the fault of Pericles himself. Further on the dissatisfaction from his actions grew and Athens turned off their ruler, and the war was won by the Spartans, their sworn enemies.?
And the next 90 days will be tragic for Ukraine because of his actions, with no water and no electricity.
