One of the hottest festivals in the Western hemisphere – the Havana Biennale – is coming back! It’s set to re-ignite April 12-May 12, 201May 2019, having been cancelled this year because of Hurricane Irma.

The month-long, vibrant Biennale is Cuba’s at its cultural best, showcasing not just Cuban talent but artist from across Latin America and the Caribbean, and increasingly from African, Asian and Middle Eastern countries. It has always pulled professional and student artists, teachers, researchers, collectors, curators and gallerists from around the world.

Founded in 1984, it has grown into an expansive multi-venue affair. Exhibitions and installation colonise public institutions, open-air spaces, studios, private houses, and the Biennale include video screenings, workshops, and exciting panels, too.
