We're celebrating the launch of some new Limited Edition Halloween packaging design for a very valued client, so we thought it was as good a time as any to share our story of working with The Delicious Dessert Company.
Bringing The Delicious Dessert Company to life and beyond
From its very early creation as design concepts back in late 2019, to the launch of The Delicious Dessert Company in 2021, the brand and range has gone from strength to strength.
What began life as a range of three variants of eclairs, is now an extended range of eclairs, yum yums, doughnuts, pots and cheesecakes, with seasonal and celebratory limited editions to boot, stocked in four of the major supermarket retailers.
So what sets this apart from any other dessert or dessert brand? Taking the traditional and making it exceptional, with innovative new flavours targeted at the next generation of shoppers. The aim was to make chilled desserts cool again.
With this concept came a profusion of ideas from their innovation chefs, focussing on emerging trends and flavours, such as sticky toffee, caramel blonde and caramelised biscuit.
Branding and packaging design for a new generation
But how to package and position these tasty new treats for the up and coming generation? That's where TFP came in.
A long-standing client of over 20 years, Bakkavor engaged us to help build the brand from the ground up. The packaging design emerged from our concepts as a fun, gift-wrapped style design, with brightly coloured stripes tailored to the flavour of the product.
The branding was concepted to be the central element in the design, with a relaxed font style and a hint of playful smile, tied to the pack with a black ribbon. We've also had the opportunity to have a little fun with the branding, tweaking it for seasonal events like Halloween.

Taking the brand to the next level
The packaging design and branding was one thing, but how to elevate the brand to really bring some personality?
The client entrusted us with developing the brand website, along with a photography style to ramp up the personality. Some colourful flat lay imagery and sumptuous product photography was combined with some fun lifestyle shots to bring that groovy vibe.
