"Hats off" to the world of curators.
For a lover of the creative arts, who is more of an enthusiast than an expert, I continue to be impressed by the skills of curators – a cadre of workers who undoubtedly make great contributions for art and art lovers and often don’t get the recognition that they deserve.
So in this brief post, I “Tip my Hat” to all the curators who help make the creative arts a space of great enjoyment for many people of all ages. I admire your energy, passion and skill.
I am fortunate to live in Melbourne and regularly enjoy the curatorial excitement at the National Gallery of Victoria – a great Icon in what is a very creative city. With each exhibition there is clearly significant thinking and planning and execution and project management of great ideas that then showcase quite diverse exhibitions in a way that brings the works to life for a wide audience.
Of course, Melbourne has many other excellent spaces where the skill of being a Curator is displayed every day. And Melbourne is just one metropolis in which I have enjoyed seeing some great pieces of human expression, as indeed I have seen in small towns across Australia and many places in Europe, America, Asia and the Pacific.
Hats off to all Curators wherever you may be … you make the world a better place.
