Hats off to the hacker: Saluting a worthy opponent
National Cyber Security Centre
We are the National Cyber Security Centre. Helping to make the UK the safest place to live and work online.
Live at CYBERUK 2022: ‘Oh that was clever'. When even jaded incident handlers are impressed.
Let’s face it, hackers can be dangerous, some perhaps R evil, but most of them are just annoying. So, it’s rare that a seasoned professional from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is forced to utter the words, “Oh that was clever…”
But, it does happen. And at CYBERUK 2022 you can hear the stories behind some of the most dramatic and impressive compromises of the last 12 months.
A big hit at previous CYBERUK shows, this talk gives cyber professionals insight into the process and people who handle some of the UK’s most serious cyber incidents.
What is CYBERUK 2022?
The UK cyber security community will be gathering in Newport (Wales) on 10-11 May. This is the first time in three years that the profession has had a chance to rub shoulders, talk shop and compare notes on what has been a record-breaking time for cyber, in many ways.
Run by the NCSC, CYBERUK 2022 features a stellar array of speakers and exhibitors, backed by panel discussions of hot topics and the chance to learn from the best and brightest at the new Masterclasses.
Other topics include ransomware, supply chain security, the future of device security, smart cities, and the future regulation of the cyber security profession. You can view the full agenda, along with a list of speakers and exhibitors, on at the CYBERUK 2022 website.
