Haskell Helps Fight Hunger at Inaugural North Texas Invitational

October 11, 2021 - It was a beautiful day at the Las Colinas Golf and Country Club where Haskell held its inaugural Haskell North Texas Invitational. This marked the first charity golf event, which was created to help local charitable and non-profit organizations within the Dallas/Fort-Worth Metroplex. This year's event was aimed at supporting Lovepacs in its mission to engage communities to feed children in need.

Attendees eagerly arrived at the driving range early Monday morning. Over twenty (20) teams and sponsors came to support the event and join Haskell for a full day of golf in the sun. The Las Colinas Golf and Country Club featured a beautiful 18-hole golf course that was attended by a dedicated team of over fifty (50) Haskell volunteers. Competitors were greeted with ice cold beverages, snacks and Haskell SWAG items. In addition, guests were provided a complimentary lunch courtesy of fast-food chain, In-N-Out Burgers, who came in full support by sending a semi-truck and crew to service the entire event.

Haskell concluded the event with a reception at the clubhouse where guests were greeted by Haskell's very own Vice President & Division Leader - Food, Jathan Floren who thanked guests and sponsors and announced the prize winners of the event. Through the support and generosity of our sponsors and attendees, the Haskell North Texas Invitational raised $13,500 for Lovepacs, which was received by Executive Director of Lovepacs, Autumn Chavez.
