Has your work-life blurred?

Has work-life blurred more than ever before because you have been working from home for months now?

Here are quick pointers. I am trying my best (not yet perfect, perhaps will never be perfect, and never trying to be perfect as well.  I am keeping this strictly as a framework. I mostly adhere to it, and this keeps me aware of myself and what I am up to in life at this point!)

(1) Life is a wholesome game. I do not believe in the work-life balance talk at all.  Therefore, I list key things that I would like to focus for a period of time (I don't follow Jan to Dec time frame at all. I keep visiting this list frequently and do not have a mechanism like once a quarter, half-year or year). Then, when does the list change?  An item in the list changes, when it is done, or nearly done, or mostly when another top priority creeps into life. I strictly restrict myself to about four things at any time besides my family and that makes five things at any time. Like you, for me as well the family is my top priority always. Okay, now what are other four things in my life now, so that you know that at least I am not bull shitting -- 2. Daily Practice of Vipassana Meditation (this takes 2 hours a day - 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening; 3. Build Bio Enzymes Products and Business (my new start-up), 4. Spread awareness of veganism 5. Participate in forestation programs (i.e. planting more trees!).

(2) These things take most of my time besides other daily routines which normally happens, like brushing teeth to sleep.

(3) Given this framework, I am not over addicted to Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Browsing Online News items.

(4) Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Online news browsing happens through the cracks in my daily time-table.  After all, I am human, and there are cracks and some amounts of indiscipline very well exist!

Given all challenges, I think this approach is working well for me and I can certainly say, I am less stressed in life!

Thanks for reading. Please feel free to comment.

Murali, Impressive read. Knowing your priorities is a great first step else we will be wasting our time and energy. Sustaining the daily discipline is extremely important because you can accomplish big milestones only if you are consistent, demonstrate patience and deliver one day at a time. Congratulations on your accomplishment!!
