In today’s newsletter:
#1. ?? Google Volatility Haven’t Been Kind to This Industry
If you’re in the food and drinks industry, I’m going to hold your hand as I say this. According to a Search Engine Land report, food and drinks businesses experienced the most Google search volatility between 2023 and 2024.
Other industries that experienced increased volatility include home and garden, travel, business and industrial, and hobbies and leisure. Though this search volatility can feel never-ending, the best thing you can do right now is keep a close eye on your site’s metrics and continue to follow basic SEO practices.
To see the full list of industries impacted by Google’s algorithm updates, and explore whether this volatility is the new normal, the write-up below will tell you everything that you need to know.

If you’ve not yet taken advantage of this feature, it could be the ideal time to hop on the bandwagon. LinkedIn reports that video creation on the platform has increased by a whopping 100%, while uploads have risen by 36% since last year.?
