Has there ever been a better time for you to do a ReSet or ReBuild?

Has there ever been a better time for you to do a ReSet or ReBuild?

You don't get a second chance to make a good first impression. And you may never get a better chance than right now to set course for the rest of your life!

The last 2-3 months have been a great chance for a lot of us to find and/or rebuild ourselves, or not.

A chance to ask better questions, without the ‘busy-ness’ of ‘normal’ life.

For the first time in a long time, or forever, you can go back to factory settings or choose your own adventure!

And even if you've pulled up short of learning a new language, a new skill, or just done sweet bugger all, there's still no better time than now to do what you really want to do, or what you were born to do.

Within these times of stress, uncertainty and adversity, stillness can allow you to wallow and sink into depression. The feelings that come up during hard times like these need a task, they need something to do so they don’t swallow you up completely.

People have been saying that their houses get sparkling clean when they are angry/stressed and their gardens are looking better than ever!

As always though, we have a chance to go down whatever path we choose. And finding the right fit for your life is also possible in many other areas.

Healthy, Wealthy & Wise

Becoming more healthy, wealthy and wise are common areas of focus, but I would say that relationships with partners, family and friends, have also come into sharp focus during this time.

Who do you want to spend more time with? Who have you not missed and/or have been better off without? What new ways have you found to keep in touch? This is an ideal time to see who fills you up and who drains you. It might be time to shed a few 'skins'!

Many have set up home workout stations, are taking the dog for more walks? And due to less travel to and from work, are you getting time to meditate or more sleep? Because of any, or all of these things, how do you feel? How can you make sure you keep these activities in your weekly life moving forward?

What would you like to do to 'make a living'? The recent events have given many of us a very clear picture of what people really want and need in life. I for one didn't realize what an essential item toilet paper was until just recently!!!

There are clues all around us. What businesses have you seen thrive during the last few months? Where could you add value moving forward into the future?

Tim Ferriss was contemplating this quote from Jim Carrey recently and it really got my mind ticking over, so I thought it was well worth sharing here. Over to Jim...

“I realized that I could lose myself in a character. I could live in a character. It was a choice. And when I finished with that, I took a month to remember who I was.

* What do I believe?

* What are my politics?

* What do I like and dislike?

It took me a while, and I was depressed going back into my concerns and my politics.

But there was a shift that had already happened.

And the shift was, ‘Wait a second. If I can put Jim Carrey aside for four months, who is Jim Carrey?

Who the hell is that?’ ... I know now he does not really exist.

He’s ideas. ... Jim Carrey was an idea my parents gave me.

Irish-Scottish-French was an idea I was given. Canadian was an idea that I was given.

I had a hockey team and a religion and all of these things that cobble together into this kind of Frankenstein monster, this representation.

It’s like an avatar. These are all the things I am.

You are not an actor, or a lawyer. No one is a lawyer. There are lawyers, law is practiced, but no one is a lawyer.

There is no one, in fact, there.”

Jim Carrey

Love or hate the guy, he certainly has been seeing life through a different lens for a few years now. And the core of his message here, really struck a chord.

So, what have you been doing? What have you changed? What's worked for you? I'd really like to hear what everyone's been doing and changing in hibernation.
