It has been one of those weeks!!
Top of the weekend my friends!! It’s been one of those weeks! When we celebrate Good Friday and the Resurrection of Christ.
Did you know that Good Friday was once called God Friday?
It’s a contraction just like “OMG” and the term “Goodbye”. Which is a contraction of God Be with You. “Until we meet again” (sing it!). Sorry I had a real vintage church flashback.
Anyway, this weekend everyone who believes Jesus is the Christ will attend services. Christmas and Mother day completes the trifecta for believers who generally want to attend weekly services. But don’t.
Sounds pretty familiar, doesn’t it? As they say, “I just gotta get right before I attend every week”. Been there and heard that. So how do you handle those moments of confusion and lack of clarity? Come little closer my friends. This will be just between me and you.
The answer to these challenging moments is to “Pray”. Never forget He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.
Make that your first? course of action. Especially when those unbearable like doubts begin to engulf your common sense. As they say, when your mind is playing tricks on you!
Discover the Holy Grail of hope in your life!! Turn your mind over to someone greater than yourself.
My friend the carpenter says “Don’t be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Let the each day’s own trouble be sufficient for that day”. I know that’s easy for me to say? Just remember those times when you didn’t get it right. Who suffers the most then?
Patience is a virtue. Ask the “carpenter” about those real life incidents? Wisdom comes from those who has been there.
Remember when “Big Momma” used to always say “ that’s alright baby, just keep living”. After all “Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy”. It’s a reap what you sow thang!!!
Did I ever mention my Big Brother “Nazarite”? The dude is as cool as the other side of the pillow. Depending on when you meet him. He could be a Lion or a Lamb. The Anointed One loved everybody! He would hang out with sinners, prostitutes and even tax collectors.
If you ask him why? He’d get all philosophical. “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do that player!”
By the way, if it’s been one of those weeks. “Trust and lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge HIM in all your ways and He will direct your path”. It’s vital that you learn from your own experience. Why? That’s the Big Blessing Payback!
It’s time discard all the extraneous details and shame the devil! Are you dealing with feelings of provocation? How about longing for cold hearted revenge or just been angry over things you have absolutely have no control over?? Then this message is just for you too!
The “One” who silenced demons, healed the sick, raised the dead and promises everlasting life. Who died and rose to life this weekend says:
“These commandments,’You shall not commit adultery,' 'You shall not murder,' 'You shall not steal,' 'You shall not covet,' and all of the rest of those commands there can be, and are summed up in this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself”.
In closing, my favor bible story is in?John 3:1-21. It’s when Jesus turns Water into wine. Here’s why, I believe played a practical joke on his mother Mary. He must have practiced that first miracle on her without her knowing it. Notice her response at the wedding? Mama wanted to share that blessing with everybody at the wedding. This weekend is our blessing - He is Alive!!! Amen!? It has been one of those weeks! Donut ever forget it!
