Harvard Sucks: The University’s Double Standard on Free Speech and the Contemptible Leadership of President Dr. Claudine Gay (Bigot, Plagiarist, Fool)

?
??????????? As I have mentioned in my previous posts, drawing from my experiences as a Holocaust and WWII historian, author of scholarly books and articles, former university professor, IDF veteran, and retired Marine Corps officer, I am appalled by the pathetic leader of Harvard University, Dr. Claudine Gay.? Her recent conduct on Capitol Hill documenting how she responded to students calling for the genocide of Jews on campus, has laid bare her bigotry and anti-Semitism.? In essence, she failed to condemn such actions and speech!? Remarkably, some of the students calling for genocide, as seen in pictures posted by various news agencies, were African American!! The irony, though tragic, is stark: Descendants of oppressed slave communities now advocate for the mass murder of Jews under the leadership of a president with roots tracing back to Haitian Black slaves under the French!? It’s a grotesque role reversal, indeed.? ?
Gay’s defense of allowing students to call for the mass murder of Jews under the guise of Free Speech, coupled with her adamant refusal to expel or discipline them, showcases her selective stance.? One can’t help but wonder if she would extend the same defense of Free Speech to Harvard White students donning swastikas and calling for the geocide of Blacks. Would she have allowed them to remain students?? However, her acceptance of students supporting the terrorist organization Hamas, who chanted for the destruction of Israel and the killing of Jews, all while prioritizing the use of proper pronouns, seems perplexing. ?While she underscores the importance of pronouns and sexual identity, it seems she may be overlooking the gravity of condoning such violent and hateful actions, such as calling for the annihilation of the entire Jewish people.? Maybe addressing genocide might be more important than a petty project of pronouns and how they are used after someone’s name, Dr. Gay!?
In short, her defense of such atrocious speech against the Jews under the guise of Free Speech rings hollow, neglecting the need for accountability and ethical responsibility in the exercise of that freedom. ?Reflecting on history, Hitler advocated for the genocide of the Jews in his speeches and writings in the 1920s and 1930s years before Auschwitz was ever built and functional in 1942.? Did his exercise of Free Speech without consequences help him in slaughtering Jews—you better believe it did.? There is definitely a connection, something Dr. Gay, had she truly studied race relations history, should have recognized.? Maybe if she had done her own research instead of stealing from others, she would have learned this fact, which leads me to the next issue I have with Gay; namely, her lamentable academic pedigree.
By way of illustration, and equally troubling to her support of genocide, Dr. Gay’s academic track record bears the stain of multiple instances of plagiarism in her Harvard PhD from 1997 and numerous articles.? In other words, her academic work is fraught with intellectual theft.? When the New York Post began investigating her plagiarism in October, Harvard’s board resorted to legal threats and intimidation tactics to suppress the story, betraying ethical conduct the institution purports to uphold, especially concerning Freedom of Speech.? My, how far has Harvard fallen with this double standard! ?
Adding insult to injury, Harvard’s choice of legal representation, Clare Locke, known for defending notorious individuals like murderers, sex offenders, and dictators, raises serious ethical questions about the institution’s moral compass. ?Most reprehensibly, this law firm has defended the Sackler family, owners of the now bankrupt Purdue Pharmaceutical company, responsible for the opioid epidemic that has killed hundreds of thousands of Americans.? It has defended Russian oligarchs, who are in league with Putin and support a totalitarian system, suppressing the free press and often killing their political opponents (they also support the illegal war in Ukraine).? And last, this firm defended Matt Lauer, a known rapists and sex abuser.? Harvard’s affiliation with such entities is telling.
These revelations, while shocking, paint a clear pattern of Harvard’s poor decisions in the past few months.? Now, Harvard endorses a leader like Dr. Gay, an individual marked by bigotry, racism, plagiarism, and dishonesty, while condoning her tolerance of students calling for the annihilation of Jews worldwide.? One could even add idiocy to the list of Gay’s character traits, a trait rarely associated with Harvard graduates and leaders until now.? The university’s choices reflect affiliations, admissions criteria, and leadership qualities inconsistent with principles of integrity, ethical values, and merit-based appointments.

Returning to Harvard’s bully tactics with news agencies, a deeper analysis of how it truly deals with Freedom of Speech is necessary.? When recent events threatened to expose Gay’s fraudulent credentials, showing her to be a Chaucerian Fraud at the highest level, Harvard’s board resorted to silence the truth through intimidation tactics instead of allowing the facts to come to light.? The university’s actions reveal glaring hypocrisy: Endorsing the right for students to call for the genocide of the Jews on its campus while suppressing attempts to reveal a fraudulent leader.? ?So much for Free Speech Harvard!
Harvard epitomizes hypocrisy, bordering on evil.? This isn’t hyperbolic when I say evil---think about that.? Harvard supports calls for genocide but refrains from denouncing a racist, anti-Semite plagiarist leading the college!? Is it because she is Black?? Is it because she is a woman?? Rather than mincing words, why not label her what she is—a morally pathetic leader supported by a morally bankrupt board?? This whole event shows us how reprehensible the movements of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) and Affirmative Action have become at Harvard and elsewhere.? Perhaps a return to reason and logic, prioritizing merit over politically correct checkboxes, is in order when hiring leaders and making boards!?
Numerous articles posit that Harvard hired Gay as president solely because she is a woman and Black, not based on qualifications (history is proving this theory correct).? Even one of the most prominent African American professors who Dr. Gay plagiarized, a real PhD holder and professor, Dr. Carol Swain, advocates doing away with DEI/Affirmative Action due to corruption and misuse, as exemplified by Gay’s hiring.? Little wonder the Supreme Court struck down Affirmative Action for universities with their admissions policies this past year, because it has turned into discrimination itself (reverse racism in its worse form).? It was shown at Yale and Harvard that they had been discriminating against Asians and Whites with their admissions for years and that this behavior must stop.? Racism in all its forms is reprehensible, and the focus should be on admitting the smartest and brightest to the best universities, irrespective of race.? Gay’s presence, based on ethnicity and sex rather than academic skills, leadership abilities, and overall intelligence, demonstrates the repercussions of deviating from this principle.?
When I was in the Marine Corps, the focus was never on someone’s race, sex, or political affiliation.? The organization filtered out the unfit, ensuring those who served alongside me had earned their place.? We were Americans who had earned the title Marines, and that was the focus.? I assure you, when someone goes into battle, they want the smartest ones over them or on their flanks, be they Black or White.? They don’t want someone promoted into a leadership position because of their sex or ethnicity, but rather, because of their intelligence and leadership capabilities!? We need to return to the world where your intelligence, morals, and accomplishments matter, and not your sex or ethnicity.? Dr. Gay clearly shows when race and sex are focused on, it can, and will, promote bad leaders, and definitely create toxic environments.? We are Americans and part of one race, the human race! ?
Returning to Dr. Gay’s theft, Harvard’s lenient handling of Dr. Gay’s plagiarism, allowing her to amend and correct articles and a PhD despite 40 proven cases of thievery, is inconceivable.? In academia, such misconduct results in severe consequences of sanction, expulsion, and revocation of degrees.? Harvard’s continued support of a leader with academic dishonesty showcases its lack of integrity.? In my time as a professor at American Military University and Southern Methodist University, several students were expelled for just a few cases of plagiarism—these were undergraduates and not presidents of universities!? When analyzing how Harvard has been handling Dr. Gay’s plagiarism, as an academic, former professor and author of several scholarly books and almost two dozen articles, I am quite frankly bewildered.? With all the plagiarism that has been dripping in showing Gay to be a lair and cheat, Harvard allows her to correct her articles and PhD instead of disciplining her!!!!? They are rewarding bad behavior.? This is not how historically universities deal with plagiarism.? Harvard’s bizarre behavior is akin to allowing a student caught cheating on a test to retake it with a warning.? In academia, when you steal other people’s words and ideas, you get ridiculed and often expelled, and you definitely don’t get to keep your degrees or your good grade in class! You lose those degrees, and you fail the class.? The fact that Harvard refuses to discipline Gay by firing her and revoking her PhD is a double-standard at the highest level of how plagiarists are treated in all respectable universities, except for Harvard nowadays.? African American scholars who Gay has plagiarized are calling on Harvard to fire her, like Dr. Carol Swain.? Once again, Harvard is showing itself to be full of cowards and hypocrites at the highest level when they continue to support such a person lacking academic honesty and integrity.?
Furthermore, Dr. Gay’s refusal to resign in disgrace and apologize for her misuse of the system she leveraged to attain her position only exacerbates the damage she has wrought.? Her actions have potentially hindered future opportunities for qualified African American women to hold leadership positions.? Her resignation would acknowledge her lies, cheating, and unfit leadership, the only honorable course for her.? Continuing as Harvard’s president is far from honorable.? Once she leaves Harvard, which one hopes will be soon, she should be barred from teaching at or leading another university.?
As a Yale University graduate, I and my classmates often teased our arch-rival, Harvard University, with good-humored ribbing.? While Yale’s motto is Lux et Veritas (Light and Truth), Harvard’s is just Veritas (Truth).? We had a good-natured quip that said, “Your Veritas sucks if you don’t have that Lux.”? Well, Harvard really does “suck” now since its Veritas (Truth) falls short without that guiding light.? Harvard, with its bankrupt leadership, fails to stand for truth, let alone bring it to light.? No wonder prominent and wealthy alumni are pulling back their donations to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars and why applications are down for the University this year.? Moreover, sister universities throughout the world like the Lauder Business School in Vienna, Austria, have severed ties with Harvard over its anti-Semitic leader in Dr. Gay, and its anti-Semitic policies.? Dr. Gay and the disgusting people supporting her have shown Harvard is no longer an institution honoring Free Speech and academic excellence.? In other words, the whole saga surrounding Harvard with Dr. Gay and anti-Semitism exposes Harvard’s overt failure to stand by principles of Free Speech, academic excellence, and morality, the very values it claims to uphold.? As a result, all jesting aside, Harvard really, truly does “Suck.”?

1 年Immor, that is an entirely racist comment that really has no place here. The fact is that while the Democrats have done everything they can to divide our nation by race, her termination has absolutely nothing to do with her race. She could never have been hired if she was white without affirmative action. Her credentials were always weak and right at the minimum academic level and would not have survived scrutiny if she were white. When you mix in ongoing plagiarism she is a disaster. She has also eliminated some of the best Black professors at Harvard. She also firmly believes that the oppressor/ oppressed narrative (pure Marxist Doctrine) is how America and the world should be viewed. She and the Harvard Board have become despicable. Imagine being unable intellectually to actually admit the genocide of anyone is a horrible act that should be condemned and acted upon. She might as well have a black and red swastika on her arm.

1 年Rigg argues that Harvard has exhibited a double standard in handling free speech, especially in response to antisemitic incidents. He also questions Gay's academic record, citing plagiarism allegations and Harvard's approach to addressing them. Rigg's stance reflects a broader concern about the moral direction of the university under its current leadership. As both Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology alum, I would say that we shall not throw the baby out with the bath water. It's a great institution. There're issues -- we need to and we will eventually solve them.
