Hartlepool Citizens Advice - The Charity for Your Community

Joe Michna manager of Hartlepool Citizens Advice has provided help and support for over 25,000 people

Hartlepool Citizens Advice is an independent registered charity that needs your support. Hartlepool Citizens Advice Bureau was set up in 1939 to offer free, independent, confidential and impartial advice. It depends heavily on its volunteers and, together with its small team, provided support to around 5,000 individuals so far this year.

Manager Joe Michna (pictured above) joined the town’s Citizen’s Advice Bureau in 1988 and since then has gone on to help over 25,000 people with their problems. Joe says he still gets a buzz out of the job even after turning 66 in January and having to adjust to life in a wheelchair after losing a leg in 2015.

Joe is so dedicated to the work he (and his team) does! The charity relies on volunteers, donations and local fund raising. If you can support this worthwhile charity by giving a small donation you will be helping Hartlepool Citizens Advice continue the great work they do in helping others that need it!
