HARRY POTTER GONE MAD!
Listening to the Parliamentary Health Committee on RTE cross-examining the HSE experts about the vaccine roll-out reminds me of the Ministry of Magic sessions in Harry Potter. Hearing the elected representatives of the people question the abortionists of the HSE how many old and elderly people they have vaccinated with or without adequate and appropriate supplies of equipment is a bizarre and surreal experience. Not all the characters in Harry Potter are benign and not all those participating in the discussion about vulnerable groups are benign either, starting with the representatives of Sinn Fein and Fine Gael and the Soldiers of Destiny and indeed all those involved in the abortion programme in one way or other. Life is sacred from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death, neither Sinn Fein, the UK, EU or the HSE or those manufacturing and developing the vaccines believe in this particular proposition. Mary Lou masquerading as Leader of the Opposition said that the Government should move Heaven and Earth to save lives by obtaining more vaccines. So much for EU procurement, but really, Sinn Fein moving heaven and Earth to save lives. Was the Serpent speaking again? How short are memories? As for Deputy Premier Leo apologising because he was wrong to say that Sinn Fein was sectarian or had ever been sectarian, what about Mary Lou refusing to apologise on Prime TIME during the last Election to a mother for a Sinn Fein Minister of the Executive battering her son to death on a Belfast housing estate 13 years before that. What’s sauce for the goose should be sauce for the gander. Would you entrust a referendum on Irish unity to that lot? In all the circumstances, can Ireland afford to have the Minister for Justice take a full six moths paid maternity leave? Even in ultra-liberal France, they do not tolerate such a luxury just in the name of Equality, Liberty and Sorority. Ireland, faced with a virulent terrorist threat needs a full-time Minister for Justice. Lord Voldemort must be smiling gleefully to himself!
