Harpscreen
Harpscreen is always equipped with a hook strip during production. It is necessary to be careful, when tensioning the Harpscreen into a separator. When the Harpscreen is under-tensioned, it will be broken by separator ribs, if the screen is over-tensioned, crimped wires will straighten. Transversal screen wires (interweaves) are to be lying (at least each second transversal interweave) on supporting ribs of the separator. These ribs must be unconditionally equipped with protective rubber profile. No matter if the screen is tensioned into the separator in longitudinal or transversal direction, the separator supports are to be made with gradient (for 1 meter of screen length approx. 18 mm). Spacing of transversal interweaves is usually 70 – 300 mm, the lifetime of the Harpscreen can be prolonged when these interweaves are strengthened with polyurethane.
