Harnessing the Power of GenAI: My Journey Towards a Smarter Workplace

As the technology landscape continues to evolve at a rapid pace with various hype cycles being tested, one technology is here to stay: Generative AI (GenAI). It has had a transformative impacts on the way we ideate, create and communicate. When used ethically, GenAI has revolutionizes workflows, streamlines processes, solves complex problems, and enhances human interactions. Along with Copilot, an evolved day in a life will gradually include starter, intermediate and pro level toolkits in organisations basis role definition so that the need of human machine interactions becomes a norm and I do encourage ways we can enhance and spend more time in communicating.

Efficiency Through Templatization

One of the most significant advantages of GenAI in daily routines has been the reduction of time spent on redundant paperwork transactions (Content and Operations). By leveraging AI to automate and template various tasks, we save precious hours previously consumed by administrative work. This 'self service by design' methodology shift allows me to focus on more meaningful and strategic activities, ultimately boosting outcome creations.

Solving Commercially Viable Problems

Implementing a shift-left strategy with GenAI has enabled me to address commercially viable problems earlier in the development process (Idea, Concept, Prototype, Integrate). This proactive approach not only mitigates risks but also enhances the quality of solutions delivered to clients. By identifying and solving issues at the outset, going to market is quicker and with greater confidence, providing clients with the 'look and feel' centric conversations thereby enabling more feedback.

Enhanced Client Interactions

The time saved through the selective automation of routine tasks has allowed me to dedicate more time to client interactions. Building stronger relationships and understanding client needs better has become a focal point of my efforts. This enhanced engagement has led to more tailored solutions through the involvement of an ecosystem and multi stakeholders in this process. This goes back to the time when I started implementing Open Innovation in every program and through the inherent consumption of AI tools, it becomes more real.

My AI and Low-Code Tool Stack

To achieve these efficiencies and enhanced decision support, I have curated a WIP robust stack of AI and low-code tools, involving 14 tools across 7 workstreams. This combination empowers me to automate workflows, develop applications swiftly, and integrate various systems seamlessly. Sharing this stack with peers and colleagues has fostered a collaborative environment, where best practices and innovative solutions are continuously exchanged and refined.

Trends for 2025: Potentials for near term inclusion

Its already OND 2024, and as we look ahead to 2025, I see these 4 trends highly poised to shape the future of AI and other allied technology inclusions:

  • Turning AI into Decision-Making Agents: Agentic AI is expected to emerge, going beyond information summarization to taking actions on behalf of users. These AI agents will optimize decision-making processes, significantly enhancing productivity and efficiency.
  • Technology Platforms for Governing AI: With increasing concerns about model bias, AI governance platforms are being developed to ensure transparency and ethics in AI models. Features like explainability and prevention of harmful outputs will build trust and reliability in AI solutions.
  • Tools Defending Against Disinformation: As generative AI capabilities grow, so does the potential for disinformation. Security tools to identify deepfakes and synthetic media will become crucial in maintaining the integrity of information and protecting against malicious activities.
  • Going Hybrid with Future Computing: The future will see organizations adopting a hybrid computing approach, integrating CPUs, GPUs, edge computing, quantum computing, and more. This orchestration of diverse technologies will drive innovation and efficiency across industries.

In conclusion, the ethical use of GenAI has transformed professional landscapes, enabling work to get smarter, not harder. By embracing these technological advancements, we can not only enhance efficiency but also enrich interactions with clients and colleagues. As we move towards 2025, the continuous evolution of AI promises even greater possibilities, and I am excited to be part of this transformative journey.
