I am sure many of you have already heard about ChatGPT and its impressive capabilities when it comes to data analysis. Today, I want to share with you a valuable feature that can greatly assist data analysts in their day-to-day work.

If you dislike regular expressions as much as I do, then you will appreciate having ChatGPT as a partner to help you tackle such challenges. In the past, my approach to these tasks involved searching for pre-existing solutions. If I couldn't find any, I would look for concise guides on the subject (which are thankfully usually brief) and practice different combinations of symbols on platforms like regex101.com or regexr.com until I achieved the desired result.

Now, with ChatGPT, tasks that require the use of regular expressions have become much simpler.

The company I currently work for is in the process of migrating to a new database, and I am directly involved in rewriting scripts—created long before my time at the company—to fit the requirements of the new platform.
