Snowflake Cortex LLM functions are now generally available*, bringing industry-leading LLMs directly to Snowflake. The Snowflake Cortex COMPLETE function can run directly within Snowflake using SQL or through APIs with a Python client.?

With this feature you can:?

• Perform prompt engineering and specify the data set you want to use
• Access foundational models such as Snowflake Arctic, Reka-Core, Llama 3, Mistral, and Google?Snowflake Cortex LLM functions is now generally available* and brings industry-leading LLMs inside Snowflake. Using Document AI (Now in Public Preview)

Document AI extracts content from PDFs and other documents using a built-in LLM developed by Snowflake. You can prepare pipelines for continuous processing of specific document types with streams and tasks. Once Document AI extracts the content from PDFs, you can ask questions against that data in natural language and quickly get answers.

Public Preview of Create or Alter for Tables and Tasks

This DevOps offering creates a table if it doesn’t exist or allows you to alter its definition.?

CREATE TABLE <table_name> AS <query> creates a new table populated with the data by a query

ALTER TABLE <name> (or MODIFY) can be used to modify multiple columns in a table
