Hello, LinkedIn family! Today, I want to share some insights on the power of belief and connection in business from an interview I did with Trevor B. West , and how these elements can drive both personal and professional growth.
1. The Power of Connection
In our fast-paced world, it's easy to lose touch with people who matter to us. That's why I practice the 90-day list, where I make a list of the most important people I want to stay connected with and I haven't spoken to them in 90 days I reach out. This simple act of connection can make a world of difference. It's not about asking for favors or selling something, but just showing some love and seeing how they're doing.
2. The Role of a Chief Heart Officer
In any business, it's crucial to have someone who keeps the human element alive. This person ensures everyone's in the know, incorporates family values into operations, and makes sure everyone feels valued and connected. They are the glue that holds everything together, checking in on people, asking about their relationships, and ensuring everyone feels valued and connected. My wife Nina is this person for me and she's the glue for the 42 people in my business.
3. The Importance of Serving Others
Everyone wants to serve in some capacity. For some, it's serving the world, and for others, it's serving the people closest to them. Finding a balance between these two desires can strengthen your relationships and enhance your sense of purpose.

4. Having Difficult Conversations
Working with friends and family can be challenging, but it can also be incredibly rewarding. The key is to communicate effectively. If you can have those hard conversations, it can lead to growth and understanding.
5. The Power of Belief
One of the biggest challenges people face is a lack of belief in themselves. I believe that if you feel like you matter to someone, if you feel like you're serving a purpose, it leads to happiness and fulfillment.
6. Continuous Learning and Growth
As you get better at something, there are fewer people who can teach you and more people who just tell you how good you are. But what you need is someone who can push you to get to the next level.
In conclusion, belief, service, and continuous growth are key elements in both personal and professional development. Remember, sometimes you have to follow other people's belief in you before your own kicks in. Let's continue to believe in ourselves and each other, and see the transformative power this can have on our lives and businesses.
