June has been a busy month, filled with new collaborations, tech advancements, and preparations for the upcoming season. In this second issue, we take a look at:

Peregrine Vision's Speeding & Stop Sign Violation Detection

One of our guiding philosophies when founding Peregrine.ai was to bring the sophisticated technology of expensive autonomous driving software to consumer-grade hardware. Peregrine Vision is the culmination of our will to create safer roads. The?energy-efficient Edge AI can identify and report hazards like speeding & stop sign violations (and much more!) in real time while running on dash cams and smartphones. Here's how it works:

Speeding Detection

• Real-Time Speed Analysis: The system continuously monitors vehicle speed using onboard sensors.
• Speed Limit Recognition: Utilizing computer vision, the system can understand the vehicle's surrounding context on a pixel level. It identifies?speed limit signs and compares them with the vehicle's current speed.
• Alert Mechanism: If the vehicle exceeds the speed limit, an alert is generated for the driver & fleet manager with all relevant data points.

Stop Sign Violation Detection

• Stop Sign Recognition: The visual intelligence algorithm detects?stop signs along the route.
• Motion Analysis: The system monitors the vehicle’s approach and ensures it comes to a complete stop at the identified stop sign.
• Violation Reporting: If the vehicle fails to stop completely, a violation event is triggered.

? Centre Stage?Partnership with Porsche Engineering at Startup Autobahn

We were excited to have been part of STARTUP AUTOBAHN powered by Plug and Play 2024 and to be able to present our latest result of the cooperation with Porsche Engineering in the field of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) validation. By integrating our Visual Intelligence with Porsche's ComBoxApp, we’ve made validation more scalable and efficient.

The real-time capability allowed us to automate object detection validation during the pilot stage, a huge leap forward! The collaboration now enables the use of smartphone cameras for real-time detection of traffic objects by integrating both?Peregrine Vision & Porsche's ComBoxApp into vehicle systems.?
