Harness the Power of Your Intuition to Live a More Fulfilled Life.

Harness the Power of Your Intuition to Live a More Fulfilled Life.

We’ve all experienced making decisions that felt wrong and thought - I should have listened to my gut! It just didn’t feel right!

This happens because our brain is an excellent analyzer, but it’s not the only place we should make decisions from.

Our inner knowing, gut feeling, or soul's intuition - as I like to call it - always has our best interest in a way that our mind can’t.

Our minds are filled with limiting beliefs and ideas of safety that no longer serve us.

While our minds keep us safe from harm, they also hinder us from taking the risks necessary for growth and fulfillment.

In contrast, our soul's knowing always guides us toward what truly fulfills us.

Steve Jobs is one of the many who have emphasized the power of intuition: Intuition is a very powerful thing. More powerful than intellect.

Our soul knows that true fulfillment lies beyond our comfort zone.

So how do we harness the power of our intuition to live more fulfilling lives?

First and foremost, it requires that we slow down. This allows us to hear the voice of our soul over the loud screams of our mind's obligations and expectations.

Slowing down enables us to:

  • Feel our feelings: Our soul speaks to us through our feelings, guiding us on our path. We must allow ourselves to feel our emotions fully to release and move forward with aligned action.
  • Notice our body's signals: Our body communicates with us, conveying messages from our soul. By paying attention to bodily sensations, we can discern between a full-body yes and an absolute no.

You can slow down in various ways, such as simply sitting in contemplation.

Trust me, it’s worth the discomfort of feeling unproductive and lazy.?

To tune into your soul's knowing, consider these practices:

  • Meditate: Stillness in meditation reconnects us with our truth, and offers clarity and calm amidst our mind's chatter.
  • Pray and ask for guidance: Seek guidance from your soul, trusting that you are not alone in your decisions.
  • Immerse yourself in nature: Nature helps us relax and tune into our intuition by reconnecting us with our natural environment.
  • Limit technology use: Create space away from technology to reduce distractions and foster inner reflection.
  • Move your body intentionally: Physical movement shifts our focus from the mind to the body, amplifying our connection with ourselves.
  • Journal: Writing allows us to explore our thoughts and feelings, and gain insight into our intuition's guidance.
  • Engage in creative activities: Doing something creative stimulates intuitive sparks and creates a deeper connection with our inner wisdom.
  • Explore your human design: Understanding your human design provides insight into how you receive intuitive messages, and empowers you to make decisions aligned with your true self.

I’d love to hear which of these practices resonates with you the most. Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Agreed! We're taught in our culture from a young age to discount our gut feelings and rely on our analytical abilities. Other cultures do it differently. Both have a powerful place, but it's become lopsided. We have to work at rediscovering this innate gift.

For me, as someone who used to rely on the mind entirely, sometimes it is hard to distinguish fear from intuition. Great points Daniela Nahas
