Conflicts at work are bound to happen, but the way to find a solution to them and maintaining a healthy and harmonious work environment is essential. HR managers act as middle man/problem solvers during conflicts among the employees. HR to remain neutral and impartial ensuring a positive and fair outcome of the conflicts. Here departments play a huge part in conflict resolution so they need are some ways an HR can resolve the conflicts:


1.?????Identifying and Addressing Conflicts: HR should identify potential conflicts and try to make peace with the workplace before the conflicts outrage themselves. This can be achieved through communication, feedback, survey and attentively identifying the signs of the conflicts.

2.?????Creating and Implementing Conflict Resolution Strategies: HR should formulate policies and strategies that help the employees to resolve their conflicts and achieve a harmonious workplace. The policies should include mediation, investigation, and disciplinary actions for effective conflict resolution.

3.?????Mediation and Facilitation: HR should act as a mediator between the conflicting parties to facilitate effective communications. HR should try and bring both parties to a common ground where both of their wants, needs, and requirements are satisfied and they don’t feel being the victims of partiality.

4.?????Remaining Neutral and Impartial: HR managers while handling a workplace conflict should always remain neutral and impartial only then a fitting conclusion can be drawn. The HR should be unbiased, ensure equal opportunity is given to each party to speak on their own behalf, listen to them carefully and find out the main root cause of the conflict and find a solution for the same.

5.?????Confidentiality and Privacy: The HR manager should make a point to keep the conflicting matters and discussions private and the information regarding the conflict and the parties involved should be kept confidential. The matters should be handled by the HR manager very discreetly and sensitively.
