First let me share with you a story..

As a woman, I was born and raised in Cairo where women are many times looked down upon.?And therefore, they would have to react to try to grab power from men..

I have experienced that myself over and over again until a recent partnership with a company, run by a man. I made an agreement with him and days later, I was my word and I put his requests in place, but he wasn't his word and he didn't respect our agreement.?

So, I requested to break it.?Because I started seeing how the performance was off and the integrity was out and the agreement was unproductive. This was very interesting because..

Part of me was like this partnership will make a big difference to the both of us if it worked. But I see that it really doesn't work for us to create a partnership.

The trust was there, but the vision, the communication and the harmony aren't and it's NOT WRONG! it's just not there and there's no equal willingness from both sides to create a space for it.?

So there are two options.

1) Start reacting: pushing, pressuring, demeaning and not getting the communication, dissolving the foundation of trust and respect.

2) Completing the agreement and requesting to clean up the mess that resulted from breaking the agreement which is what I did.?

See, the more this person resisted my request, the clearer evidence I had that this partnership does not work and will not make the difference that we have envisioned it.?

It's not only about a business partnership, it's about relationships, it's about building homes, it's about building collaborations with people.?

And it's all about harmony.. do we have the same visions moving forward? Do we have a clear communication space that supports the partnership? are we heard and gotten??

The most important question is: IS THIS A PROJECT WORTH COMPLETING?
