Harlequin Design 2015 Highlights - Part 2 of 3
Here's part 2 of the recap of the highlights of Harlequin Design's work over 2015 showcasing some of our more standout pieces of work.
Jaeger- David Bailey
In August we helped to realise Jaeger’s Regent Street flagship windows alongside Panalux, specialist lighting suppliers. For the scheme we designed and produced large Polaroid style frames for the windows and in-store, along with plinths inspired by the same shape as well as a bespoke hanging frame seat for the mannequin.
We also supplied 2 large light boxes to showcase the David Bailey campaign shots.
The inspiration for the window came from the 60's photographic shoots of David Bailey, with relaxed mannequin poses and monochromatic props, using the whole height of the window.
Joseph- Conveyor
This Joseph Fashion collaboration from August was an accessories focused scheme to showcase their multi-brand buy. We were asked to create a simplistic mechanical feature prop to give a contemporary attitude to the window.
We worked together with FMH Conveyers to help us realise this with a rolling conveyor belt, which was used as a platform for the accessories collection.
This snaked through the window and the minimal Perspex doors and mirrors, which were used to give the illusion of depth.
The mannequins were cleverly placed to make it look like they were poised to remove their selected items from the belt, with the items moving through the window past them.
Fortnum & Mason- Beehives
Moving on to September, we once again teamed up with Fortnum & Mason, this time at their Kings Cross St. Pancras store, to produce a set of new window displays that would bring attention and awareness as well as promote inner-city beekeeping.
The new displays mirror the pre-existing beehives on the roof of their Piccadilly store and sit comfortably at the forefront of the store. These were built from wood, painted in their classic shade of teal with gold detailing. Adding to the scene were a set of custom made oversized bee sculptures, seemingly guarding the products displayed inside.
