THE HARE AND THE HYENA
Part 5
On the other hand, Hare decided to use his two days of preparation to keeping himself physically fit. He decided that it was time to strengthen his limbs, especially his hind limbs. He reasoned that, to be effective in what he needed to do, he had to have a strong healthy body, and especially his limbs. The coming contest would involve a lot of movement which would expect one to be physically fit, to enable him to walk and run from place to place as he was expected to do in the coming contest. He believed that when the time for the contest came, he would be physically fit. After some time of physical practice, Hare found that his legs, especially the hind ones had become quite strong, and he could use them to easily jump over obstacles on his way. He went around with a spring in his legs to show how strong his hind legs were able to propel him around. Although Hare had to eat in order to replenish his strength, he did not do so with greed the way Hyena did.
