Hardworking vs Intelligent ?
Intelligence has to be harnessed and nurtured with hard work in a dynamically changing environment that we live in, else it will degrade.
Hard work with no intelligence: To some extent hard work cannot alone make a noted and well-known. But, it cannot be said with some conviction in the case of intelligence.
In an optimal case one would be intelligent AND hard working, but mostly you have to compensate a lack of intelligence with an increase of working time and vice versa.
The bonus of high intelligence is that the probability of finding more efficient ways of solving problems is higher.
However, you also need much experience and sometimes pure luck to come up with a good idea (there is data which suggests that the human brain needs about 10,000 hrs. to train something to perfection - no matter if it's mathematics, music, sport or something else).
Actually there are some scientific studies that suggest that you don't have to be the smartest person in order to be successful, you just have to be smart enough.
Highly intelligent people want to have meaningful conversions.
They are not likely to talk about the weather or what color you want on your drapes but they want to talk about global warming, implications of the resolutions of the UNSC…things like that.
Not have many friends- these people believe in quality and not quantity and so if they can have three friends who understand them, they'll be okay.
They hate small talk-
They get annoyed by people- highly intelligent people are more likely to get pissed off by peoples actions because they find some arguments trivial or behaviours quite foolish. Their level of thinking does not understand some behaviours and so it may annoy them.
They hate confrontation- they believe that there is another way of settling disputes other than fighting. They believe in order and so confrontational behavior will set them off .
Most are perfectionists- highly intelligent people work hard at what they do and may expect it to be perfect.
They tend to be loners- highly intelligent people like working alone. It allows them to think and avoid disruption. They also like relaxing without the noise.
They are mostly HSPs- highly intelligent people may be empathy. They absorb emotions in crowds and at the end of the day, they may be exhausted. That's why Highly intelligent people hate crowds and noisy places.
For the longest time, I believed that if smart people worked hard and grew up in a reasonably nurturing environment, success would come eventually.
I looked at other people and thought, “Wow, that person’s going to go on to do great things.”
But as I grew older, I realized that’s not necessarily the case. A few people I know who are intelligent and have a strong work ethic have gone on to do notable things, while many others are doing fine. Unfortunately, there are some that drift along, unsure about what to do.
I then realized that there are a lot of factors when it comes to success, whether it means having a fulfilling career, having great relationships, or staying healthy. Yes, smarts are part of it, and so is work ethic. But there’s more at play than just these two factors.
Smart people often choose the safe route. They might follow the same path as their peers or choose a career because it’s considered acceptable by their peers.
While this guarantees a degree of security, it can be mundane. I hear so often from smart people that they find their jobs unfulfilling and that they want to do something else, but are afraid to do so.
If you’re thinking about branching out into unfamiliar territory, consider what your life will be like decades from now if you opt not to pursue something. Will you regret it, or will you be happy with your decision?

Thank you …People that worked hard in school are used to being at the top and told how much potential they show. This seems good initially, but there are some negative side effects.
I’ve heard people claim they deserve something because of their intelligence or where they went to school. They expect things to pan out automatically because of their credentials. Sadly, though, life doesn’t work like that.
In the real world, you don’t get results based on the work you put in. You get results based on the combination of hard work, strategic thinking, and some luck involved. You can increase that last factor by working on the first two.
One thing I hear often from high achievers is that they hate wasting time.Smart people are all too aware of the value of their time, as time and effort spent on one thing means that they could potentially be missing out on something else.
While this is a strong attribute, it also means chasing the next big thing and not following through. Starting out in any field or endeavor is tough, and getting through the initial obstacles requires patience.
Focusing effort on one goal yields much better results in the long run than going after one thing, getting bored, and then going after something new.
Want to add word or two?
Being smart and working hard can open up numerous doors. Unfortunately, having too many options can be as restricting as having few choices.
An abundance of choices makes it difficult to decide what to do. As a result, it’s tempting to jump around and “see what suits you”. I knew someone who attended numerous graduate school programs, one after another. Over ten years later, she still can’t figure out what to do.
Rather than dabbling in many endeavors, I suggest testing things out first. Talk to other people and do the research before making a big decision, so that you know whether or not an option suits your personality and lifestyle.
Your comment ….?
Surprisingly, smart people can underestimate their own abilities. They are their own worst critic, causing them to believe that they can’t accomplish as much as they can.
Smart people have high standards when it comes to their work. Whenever they work on a project, they tend to scrutinize and second-guess the final product.
This seems like a good thing on the surface, but it’s often more debilitating than helpful. Perfectionism can hinder people from progressing forward in their goals or starting on anything in the first place.
So instead of letting fears of “what if” or “I’m not good enough”
Whenever I had a pleasure to meet in my life with professional/Experts and Researcher, the one thing i realized in their life is common is the hard work and dedication.
Usually, when they share their story, they start with that i am from the countryside, and we were living basic life at my childhood.
So that means one thing in common that most of the researchers achieved the success through self-made hard working and dedication, no doubt that to be intelligent is a gifted blessing, but at the end of the day, the Hard work Wins… keep you back from something new, think of how you want your life to look like years from now.
Getting started beats waiting for something to happen anytime.
What will you do today to get closer to your success?
What are some things that have been holding you back?
All people have their strengths but not all are gifted in the educational meaning of the word.
Some students need to be accelelerated in school or they'll become frustrated and bored.
We have many types of schools include private, public, and gifted schools. Educational policy makers have currently confirmed a law in higher commission of education system to removing the gifted middle schools.
This foundation decision has mainly created huge debates among educational researchers and mangers. Advocates argued that by conducting this policy, gifted students will earn more opportunities to interaction with ordinary persons, improve the quality of public schools, and have happier moments in public schools.
Also, opponents believe that gifted schools give their students higher level learning experiences and move them toward a better future. It would be great to hear your experiences in your home or your personal ideas about having gifted schools for gifted students.

5 年Part of a proper education is to achieve the academic credentials to qualify to proceed to the next level of whatever it is that we want to do. This might be a job or pursuing a higher degree. But an essential part of education should be to advance the overall mind of the student. This will allow them to become the problem solver that jobs want and satisfy their innate intellectual curiosity. With governmental emphasis on outcomes and students being able to find employment, this becomes a problem for an educator. Many academics bewail that the classical liberal arts education is dying and being replaced with a much more vocational orientated type of education.
